Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
If I were to pick one must see, it would be the Stout Grove off the 199 along the smith river near the CA OR border. It is amazing, giant redwoods. You drive through the giant redwoods on a dirt road. You pop back out in Crescent City. I go there often, because it is so amazing and peaceful.
Most of the coastline here is picturesque. j

Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
Larry (the other one), you have the right attitude starting out calling this a not so epic trip. You see, you set out to have an epic trip and you get a so so trip at best. You just set out, with a not so epic attitude, and you will surely end up with an epic trip.

We're staying at the itty bitty Inn in Coos Bay tonight. Getting ready to listen to Celtic music over a club sandwich and a beer at the Liberty Pub.

Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
My camera clearly sucked today. I looked at this Longhorn. It's a big block, no air with a tilt wheel. Highlander? I didn't look at the glovebox.

Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
If you look at the cone picture closely there's two sets of Knuckles there. I just held my hand up in front of a picture on the side of the building.

Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
You had us going with the ice cream cone pic. I just knew you were just fixing to have it dripping on your sleeve.
And if you ate all that before it melted you would have a hella brain freeze.

Re: davischevy's not so epic road trip
That is a trip I hope to take next summer. I was hoping to be able to drive my 64 3/4 ton but I don't think I have it ready by then. So I will probably have to drive my 64 Chevelle 300 4dr with a 6cyl and powerglide. Two years ago I was up there and we drove the coast from Astoria south to the about 100 miles, I want to see a lot more of it.

Good to hear, son.
Old is getting to be a good thing to be. It means you got to live in the great times the younger people couldn't imagine.
