'70 Skylark.. Have some questions
I just got a new 70 skylark that i am going to fix up to a nice strong runner...
The rear end needs to be raised a few inches as it is low.. I craweled under there before i bought it, and noticed it doesnt have leaf springs... Now adding leafs was the only way i knew how to raise the rear end.. how do you raise the rear on a 70 skylark? Also, if anyone knows if a good skylark message board, please post! Thanks!

The coil springs are shot, replace them and it should come up. You could also get springs that will increase ride height

One of the fixes we did (back in th 70s) to raise the rear, was change out the rear springs with ones from an El Camino or even a C10. That may be a bit more lift than you want though, but an option.

My Monte Carlo SS was doing the same thing. I put in new springs and it's back where it should be. They aren't that expensive, either.

Hey shortbedchevy, any luck in finding a decent Buick board? I have a '64 Skylark and I came up empty-handed when I looked.
