facebook group
someone reported the 67-72 site fb group admin as spam. FB chose to remove the entire group (over 60k members) We are aware and are working towards a resolution as well.
Just FYI for those who use it. |

Re: facebook group
Facebook is an absolute joke anymore. They have also been flagging any link I put back to the main forums when answering questions in some of the fb pages I am on. This just started happening within the last week or so. I would say more but politics and such are not allowed here. Lol

Re: facebook group
Probably not related but in the last couple of days, my email just started kicking my forum emails from my inbox to my "junk" folder. Trying to figure out how it happened and how to get into settings to get them sent back to my inbox again.
I thought the forum had suddenly gotten really quiet...

Re: facebook group
Also, thank you Liz for gettin after it! If it weren't for all of the hard work that you put into this place, there'd be a bunch of Chevy / GM orphans out there!

Re: facebook group
I can't even offer a link to this site on FB. I did, but had to leave spaces between each word.
I'm in quite a few FB old car groups (one that has 355,000 members) and many times people will be looking for parts and I'd send them this way. |

Re: facebook group
It's a place for some of us with a warped sense of humor go for entertainment. Over there you can ask a question and get answers from people that don't have a clue and get some sort of satisfaction out of demeaning and chastising people. It makes them feel better about themselves, and keeps my neck loose from shaking my head from side to side.
Actually it's a pretty sad example of what our society has become.

Re: facebook group
Facelook. Look at me, look at me. A place to show all the examples of what those who need attention will do to get it, good or bad. The truck groups are for those who can't behave well enough to be here and for those who like to ask questions and get as many answers as possible, right and wrong. Mostly wrong

Re: facebook group
Not all of facebook is bad,, the family sharing is working good for me and all my relatives, the younger generation learn where there parents and grandparents came from ,, births .deaths and commuication is all good to share..
My brother and I have a planned camping trip planned this summer for all our nieces and nephews to gather at one place with their cousins ,,,and facebook saves us phone calls and U.S. mailing by posting it on our family site.. This part is good.

Re: facebook group
I figure it's no different than e-mailing family to keep in touch. I need to figure out how to get it so I get notifications from family so I can keep up. Facebook decides who's posts to notify me about and I never know who it will be, but it's not my family.

I wouldn't know because I don't have a account. Nor do I want one, I miss a lot of the guys that went that way, but I don't need the stress.

Re: facebook group
I'm on Facebook. Although I rarely go there. I mostly did it to keep track of what my kids were up to. But they unfriended me. I guess they didn't want me to know. Fair enough. I didn't tell my parents a lot of stuff that I did. Quite a lot. So I get it.
But I did get back in touch with people that I hadn't seen or talked to in years. Which was great. My ex girlfriend for instance. There was never any hard feelings between us. She left because I was screwing up. And I don't blame her. I really was screwing up and I knew it. She gave me chances. And finally gave up. It was all my fault. She tried. I didn't. And 30+ years later we are still friends. She's an angel. But I look at her. I see pictures of her and feel it. Sorrow... The one that got away. I let her slip though my fingers with my own stupidity even though I was madly in love with her. And I guess I still am. I guess a broken heart never goes away. Even if you caused it.

Re: facebook group
Someone on FB asked if anyone was using the hand throttle for cruise control. I answered, "Heck no, not safe". I get notified someone commented and I was asked, "Do you squat to pee?". I don't need all that keyboard Superman weakness spewing at me.
How can FB categorically shut down a long standing under their roof group simply because someone decided after these years to claim it is spam? How could a group of 60k actual members somehow become spam? Might could take a quick look before flicking the switch

Re: facebook group
I googled your question. Evidently you can get Facebook on a flip phone.... the upside is that you can’t butt dial anyone.

How did I get kicked? I haven't broken any group rules. It must be a mistake because I have never posted anything for sale. The last thing I posted was a before/after photo of my ochre '72 K10. Please unblock me from the group. My name is Jim McClain.
