Re: "Midnight Rider" 1970 C10 SWB Fleetside

I mentioned that I wasn't reusing my original hood. Well, for the last 5 years or so, I have been hoarding parts for my anticipated build. I have some really nice stuff stashed away which I will reveal in due time. The objective for this build is to use very little aftermarket parts. Keep my GM vehicle GM, right? A few years ago, I found a hood locally on the FB Marketplace. It was a really nice score. It's an original hood with one repaint, but there are no dents and no bow down the center. The sellers dad had taken it off of his truck years ago in lieu of a cowl induction hood. It had been hanging in the rafters all these years and the truck was long gone. He no longer had a use for it. I looked it over for the original markings and spot welds and it looked legit. So I brought this $100 hood home!
