Re: Our new 69C10 project

Here`s few more pictures of the cruise in, sorry we missed you Rex, come by any time. A huge thanks to my boys again for all their hard work.

Here is pic of Wyatt`s truck too, he spent lots of time polishing the old girl, she never looked do good!

We are going to replace the front calipers and rotors next week with a set of twin puck polished aluminum D52 calipers with cross drill and slotted roters & brighten up the front a bit with a set of chrome backing plates. Then hit a few more cruise-ins while the Oregon weather holds.

Enjoy!

Hi Scott, congratulations to you and the boys on the best of show truck award! We were nearby and I wanted to make it but just couldn't slip away from my sons all day football jamboree at Canby High. Again good job on the truck and congrats on the win . Mel

Do you still have the stock grille? The one I have for mine is pretty good but if I could find a better one I wouldn't complain.

Re: Our new 69C10 project

I do still have the stock grill, it's about as clean and nice as they get, hadn't really thought about selling it, but I would consider it. But it would be expensive due to its condition. $500.00 plus shipping complete.

Re: Our new 69C10 project

Well we decided to remove the ECE disc front brake set up and go with a new set of polished calipers with slotted/drilled rotors from POL and a set of chrome dust covers to broghten up the front.

Here`s a pic of the before and tomorrow we hope the new stuff shows up.

Of course the ECE set-up is for sale on the forum if your intrested.

Thanks

Re: Our new 69C10 project

Thanks for the comments, here is a few pics of the 18th scale steel model we finished, had to remoce the upper trim, paint the truck, and interior saddle color, lower it and slam on some 20`s. Lots of fun!

Cool model.
I bet if you plan it just right,... you can take a picture of your truck and the model, side-by-side. Ha.

Re: Our new 69C10 project

Awesome job, did you powder coat the frame? I'm trying to decide to powder coat or use the masterseries frame paint? I'm hoarding parts for now.

Re: Our new 69C10 project

I did blast and powdercoat the frame, it turned out beautiful and so much better than paint, hard to scratch, easy to clean and so nice to have as a starting point and the cost was only $650 complete and it includes all the braces and the A-arms. I will do it again on the next one too!, I also powdercoated the inner fender wells, driveline, rearend and core support, all in satin black. then the totally stainless bolt kit made it go togather very smooth.
