That was pretty trick on the gauge cluster. Looks good.

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

As far as the cluster goes we wanted the advantage of having GPS for the speedo (no cables/wires) to run to the transmission.
also having the option to totally customize the gauges themselves, at night the numbers will be blue and are LED. as are the indicators.

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

I've got a set of Speed Hut gages for my build too. I also went with a GPS speedometer, but I ordered the larger sized ones.

I have a stock cluster that I am modifying, but mine only had two gages in it.

Yours came out well.

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

Thank You!
So you are using the quad gauges I'm guessing?
if so I used a set of them in the (John's LS 49 dodge build) They are really nice Gauges, easy to wire, very accurate and easy to program to sending units.
And I have also bought A set for my (Orangepeel Build) So Far I have bought for customers or my own projects A total of 5 sets!!
Need to be a dealer

I'm not using the quad set-up. I'm modifying my stock cluster so I will be able to fit all 6 separate gages. I always like to take the more difficult route

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

Pic #1.I assembled the bed to get it prepped for the bed liner.

Pic #2. This was after numerous Hrs of taping and masking followed by light sanding.

Pic #3. This was just after shooting the coating. I used tint your Hippo liner It comes clear and you use single stage paint to tint it the color you desire.

Pic #4. After letting it dry over night and unmasking this was the final product. It came out super nice!!

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

The color contrast between interior and exterior looks very good. Bed liner that can be tinted is a good idea and new to me. http://www.tcpglobal.com/DOM-BCYH_5....g#.VwErffpHarU

Looking good Mark!

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

I was a bit skeptical when I was told it would match perfect, but was Very Pleased with the turn out!!!

With you using the same paint code of your vehicle (single stage) it's really impressive how it worked. And opens up doors for options on spraying the bottom of a cab or body without having to go over it with body color paint!

Re: Blake's 67 GMC stepside build

Thanks Oregon! The 71 stands for my Birthday

Yes Doug it is a Speedway kit and Yes it was all Tig welded.
The S's are actually 2 of the "u" bends then cut in half rotated then welded.
