Re: What's the other half driving?
my wife drives an 08 pontiac G6. she's about to graduate nursing school and wants a new tahoe. trying to talk her into a square suburban on airbags with a 5.3, new paint, coys, late model seats with warmers, A/C and all that jazz. i could do the work myself and build it for less than half the cost of the new hoe. (not even counting the interest) i'd be right around 15k with everything. if i did the work myself.

Re: What's the other half driving?
Yes, indeed. With twin turbo’s and all wheel drive it launches like you just got shot out of a cannon even here at high altitude. The handling and braking is amazing too as well as the overall fit and finish of the entire car. I thought the whole beamer thing was all hype until we got one. There is no GM car that can compare to the overall driver experience and fit and finish of a BMW…the new Cadillac’s are a joke and don’t even come close. I couldn’t imagine what a M3 would be like. I bet that is a fun ride!

'01 Toyota 4-Runner. She has owned a '64 nova,'64 Impala,'80s Cutlass, and her first car was a '76 Trans Am...dark blue w/white interior. She had a '97 Eddie Bauer Expedition when I met her. Dumped that before I inherited a laundry list of repairs.

Re: What's the other half driving?
I can't get my wife in an SUV/truck. She likes her cars and unfortunately she wants 4 doors. I guess it is from being an accountant.
Anyways, her ride is an 05 Kia Amanti. So far a nice ride, very roomy. I can drive and sit in the back seat without having to fold myself up. Fairly peppy, decent MPG, but rides like an old LTD or Caddy.
