I totally agree with you Chief. I guess this is alot like the "step-side is better fleetside is better" debate. To each his own. I guess the "privacy" thing just struck a cord with me because it seems so ridiculous. But I guess thats just me. With as much money and time that I've spent on my truck, I WANT to be seen.

I wonder how many people who actually have big back windows would prefer small back windows and vice versa....

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

I hear you man....

If some one came to me with a small window truck, and a spare big window cab and ask me to do the conversion....I would be like COOL, LETS DO IT !!!

If that same person brought a SECOND spare cab as partial payment (to use on my truck)...I would be like...no thanks...cash only !! Or I would keep it for a conversion for the next guy....

Don't get me wrong...I think they are both cool.

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

I like the small back window. More privacy, less sun on my already red neck LOL. Although the small window is harder to see out of. They are all good.

But as others have said, the small window is more roddish, so I like it better on steppers.

I like them both, but both of mine have the small back window so that's where my vote went...

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

I'll throw a wrench in if you dont mind......my truck HAD a small window but due to a serious hit in the back of the cab on the passenger side ( unsecured load, I think) I ended up converting to a big window to make it easier to fix the cab. The brace that keeps all our seats from going back, just below the window is a serious piece of structure and would not allow me to pull out the damage. So now i have a big window.

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

I think bigs look better but I like my small window because it keeps more of the sun off my red-neck. I always thought small windows looked kind of funny because the cab looks like it is supposed to have a big window, the crease is still there.

I prefer the big back window, the looks and the visability and it's a great way to for spectators to see your interior at shows.

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

The small back window is one of those details that makes an older truck still look like an older truck. How many late model pickups 1968 thru 2011 have small back windows?

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

Bigger window is better , they have less blind spots in traffic -- but the summer sun can be hot!!
Enjoy what you have!!!!

Mirrors Rich... that's why they hung those mirrors on our trucks... Big Honkin West Coast Mirrors

They are good training for when a truck is actually used as a truck!

Re: Big Window or Small Window?

I've had both, & like both. Small window is more cozy on hot summer days, but you can def see better to change lanes w/the large window-but its so dang hot here the big one will get some tint.
