Thanks! As for the 3 inches I guess I should have made sure my toe was right before making a comment like that. I still plan on starting a build thread so everyone can see what I’ve done.

Re: ECE front disk brake/drop kit = wider front end!

mine did the same thing. Kevin is correct. A cheap fix might be to get a set of spacers made for the rear, and some longer lug studs to move the rear out to match the front? When I did mine I was already aware of this, so it did not bother me as much. I did think about sending the front wheels off and having the off set changed ( rally 6 lug wheels ) but found another set of used wheels that make it almost not noticeable.

Here's what the same set up looks like with 8X15X4inchBS (255s) & 10X15X4inch BS (275s).... not that you want to spend more money on wheels

Re: ECE front disk brake/drop kit = wider front end!

i agree with TXfirefighter, put smaller tires... i had the same issue, i went from a 275/60 to a 245/60 and it looks straight with the rear now, considering that i have 295/50 on the rear, if you go with a smaller in the rear like a 275/60 then i would definately look into a 225 or 235 for the front...

Re: ECE front disk brake/drop kit = wider front end!

Rather than start a new post I used the search feature to find this old one. I also installed the ECE 3.5 / 5 drop with disc brake conversion on my C-10 longbox and it looks excellent. I am currently running 235/75 15's on all 4 corners because that's what I had when I dropped it. The backs are excellent but the inner fenders bottom out on the tires occasionally over large bumps. Got some questions:

1) is the drop not installed correctly because the front end feels soft and bounces a bunch? The rear end does a tad bit as well. Are these drops supposed to feel so mushy and soft?

2) I want to run 275/60 15's on the back with a 15x8 rim, and I was considering running a 235/70-15 up front on a 15x7 rim. My question is will this be too tall a tire if question 1 above turns out as though the drop is functioning properly?

I live out on a country road and don't want to send the tires through the inner fenders, I've seen that happen once before...

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience, well......that comes from bad judgment.

Did you just install springs only?
You need drop shocks, a set of rear shock relocators and an adjustable track bar.
Removal or trimming of all 4 bumpstops is also recommended.
What about a front end alignment?

Re: ECE front disk brake/drop kit = wider front end!

Drop spindles, springs up front, springs in the back, shock relocator, adjustable bar in the back, lowered shocks on all 4 corners. Also redid the entire front end suspension before the wife realized what I did with the tax return. I did all of this myself, and had a guy align it. Seems a little cushiony for my taste, is the rude supposed to float or did I do something wrong? How about my intended tire sizes?

What shocks did you use?

I have 215/70's and 275/60's on 15x7's and 15x8's.
I think your 235/70's up front might be too tall.
