Re: Raymond

Yesterday Jan and I spent the day in the garage getting the rest of the big parts ready for paint (doors, Tailgate, and repainting the fenders)... Today we will paint these items...

We had already painted the fenders but were not happy with the results so paint the again... The best solution when you are not 100% happy with the end results is to start over...

Pictures to follow...

Re: Raymond

That's awesome that your wife is involved.

Yeah I painted most of my bed twice and some pieces three times... Your truck is coming along nicely.

Yeah Yeah Yeah... LOL... I will probably be posting more pics this weekend... The Windshield and rear window are slated to be installed tomorrow and I will try to finish working the inside of the doors tomorrow... We have a Grandson graduating High School this weekend so time to work on the truck is going to be limited but we are trying to get all the paint work completed this weekend around the Grad. events...

Thanks Man... I really appreciate that...

As far as Haulin' goes, the new owner doesn't do the internet... I found that weird, but he is happy not being part of it...

I'm on, but I just lurk. Enjoying the build. Looks really nice. About ready to find a LS motor to drop in "Haulin".

Hey Brent... Welcome to the build... Glad you are enjoying "Haulin"... Hopefully you can make it to The Lake Afton Car Show June 12th... The Wichita C-10 Club is the main group for the show... Raymond is one of the featured trucks on the T-Shirt and Dash Plaque...

Brent I would strongly encourage you to join the Wichita C-10 Club... it is on Facebook ( I know we have discussed this and I know your thoughts) but this is a free club... There are no fees attached you do what you want to do... The guys are really helpful... Basically just share their trucks, what they are doing, parts available, we have a annual picnic and this year it will be in conjunction with the Lake Afton Show. There are alot of Christians involved and some of us have share our journey... I know alot of them would love to see Haulin'... You actually bought it before most of them even got to see it in person... LOL

Dan, apologies for the divergence .

Brent, wife and I were seriously considering coming out and making Haulin' our own last year. He is a fairly close color match for our 72 Burb and we would have done an LS swap too. Hope you enjoy the truck!

Re: Raymond

Ok Guys it has been a hard two day... I won't rehash what we did yesterday but today we got alot more accomplished ...

We got the right door, L & R Front Fenders cut and polished... I repainted the drivers door... Glazed the whole truck... Installed the radiator support so we could start bolting the fenders on... these will be coming back off so we can finish installing the wheel houses...

We also got the trim put on everything but the drivers door and right rear tail light trim...

Also installed the passenger door handle and passenger mirror...

Here are a couple of pictures from today...

Re: Raymond

Hey Guys... over the years my wife and I have had a difficult time with the name of this truck... As some of you know it started out as "Class Act"... Both my wife and I never liked that so we changed it to Her nick name "Raymond"...

Again neither of us ever liked calling the truck the same as her name...

That brings us to today...

My wife and I are very Strong believers in America and the Freedoms we have (Hopefully we won't end up with a socialist or a lying murdering crook for president)...

We have finally landed on either "Freedom" for the truck...

I think this just sums it up in one word...
