Was just looking at you carb and intake setup. Does the clifford four barrel adapter plate mount the carb lengthwise? (as apposed to sideways).

If you look at my most current build picture, you can see that I have mine sideways with a cheap carb adapter. It's presenting some fuel line and throttle difficulties.

BUT, I've heard it's better to mount the carb sideways for fuel distribution on the inlines. What do you think?

I am running about a 1.125" NOS billet nitrous plate spacer between the 1/2" clifford adapter and the bottom of the carb for a total of 1-5/8" of spacer. The billet clifford adapter can be run either direction, And with that much space I am not concerned about the fuel distribution issue in my setup, and yes turning your carb in any direction but what I have will make your fuel lines and your throttle cable a PITA! I can see that on a n/a setup that turning the carb MIGHT help, but on a blow through the physics are a little different, and would diminish the benefits of rotating the carb. I personally would run it in the direction is was easiest to mount the fuel lines and the throttle linkage if I was you. thats my .02

OK. That's kind of what I figured being under boost. I will have to order that Clifford adapter, It'll be much easier to route everything.

Kyull, as a heads up once you turn your carb the throttle arm on the carb will hit the intake manifold. You will have to get an additional carb spacer to put in there to gain enough clearance.

Great build, wondering where you got the rear speaker panels from? I've seen kick panel setups but never anything in that location behind the seat.

How do you adapt your trailing arms to accept the bags? Is there another bolt on adapter you use in place of the old spring retainers?

Depending on the ride height that you want to run, you can bolt the bag directly to the top of the arm if you want it low, or place a cup on the arm to add some height to reach the desired ride height. I bolt everything in place with American made grade 8 bolts.

Keeping me 105 miles away from my build is what it is doing! LOL I'm working pediatrics at a private practice clinic right now south of where my build is going on.... I made it back this past weekend and had to put a new rear end in my s10 as the pinion gear blew up... so that took friday night and part of sat morning... and so sat. night and this morning josh and I got most of the interior wiring done and got the carpet and seat installed and bolted down. Ran some testing with the gauges and powered up most of the systems in the truck and so far all systems go... No pics were taken but will get some next weekend... Working on a 4 bar flip out design for the suspension control systems touch screen to go into where the ash tray is.... A lot of small loose ends were tied up on the truck this weekend and it turned out nice... I also started to nib down any small sags in the clear and starting to wet sand the clear... pics will have to wait till next weekend as I am already back down south at my apartment that is more like a jail as all I can do is work for free and pay rent to stay down here.

Oh man that would be killing me to have to wait when it's this close to finished but it's good to hear how you're doing at the P.P. clinic and sounds like you're doin a lot better off in the wiring dept compared to me

Thanks guys! Its really good to have friends that are as good as Josh is at wiring! It helps a lot! and lord knows I wouldnt be half as far on it if it werent for him!

Some interior pics as promised. I still have a couple wires to tie up, one bracket to secure on the steering column, clean the steering column rubber, and refinish the steering wheel... I am happy about how high I was able to tuck the vintage air up under the dash, took a lot of finagling and some different brackets, but was worth it as I now have more foot room on the passenger side and it looks a little cleaner. Hopefully the weather will keep improving here as the days continue to get longer, and I can get her done. Oh yeah, I kept all of the interior colors original, except for the floor, it originally had a black rubber mat, i switched it out for ultra plush carpet to match the dash pad and the dark midnight fawn of the top of the dash.
