Thanks for the interest though.
Travis,

I like how you chose the color Pink as your example

Re: And so it begins................

that sounds like a brown to me! I'm not picky.

I am thinking of just shooting it all a heavy metallic green though. I don't know who's truck this is but I like it.

So, how much primer and sealer do you think it will take to shoot the truck?

Re: And so it begins................

A Gallon generally if you do inside and out sometimes more.. i have been having a problem with sealer lifting in places and dont know why, have tried different guns and types of it.. i use a urethane primer/sealer and works really good.

I dunno man - with paint and a bumper, it's going to blend in with the crowd. Just sayin.... *shrug*

Gotta stay with the two-tone when you do paint it though.

What is that a hint to? That you're a slow taper?

Re: And so it begins................

Well, I spent about an hour and a half at Scott's shop today trying to locate the clanging noise in my '72. Must be some slack in the rear end or it might be low on grease or something. I thought Scott figured it out when he found that there weren't any bolts in the tranny mount but unfortunately I can still hear it after he replaced them.

After I left his shop though my wiper motor gave out!!!! I was like HOLY CRAP!!!

Scott suggested some RainX for the drive home and it helped.

Then pieces started falling from under the dash. I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!

I picked up some new dash bulbs for John and Heath!

The freakin wiper motor is buried behind everything under the dash. Was a pain to get out and I busted the duct for the driver's side diverter ball. WHERE THE CRAP AM I GOING TO FIND THAT WITHOUT BUYING A WHOLE KIT?????????

Re: And so it begins................

In the process I noticed my fresh air vent was broken and stuck open.

This is the crap I found under the vent flap!

Going to need a new hood seal too since it fell apart when I took it out. I love these old trucks.

I decided to replace the wiper switch while I had the dash out too. Guess what? Nobody caries it. You can buy headlight switches all day though. Friggin Mondays...........

I'm just sayin................

Re: And so it begins................

Bummer about the wiper motor....but you don't need one anyways. Just use that rainx and drive faster!

Mmmmm...Vent Flap Crap!

Re: And so it begins................

I had a mysterious clanging noise too.
But, only when I was moving. Turns out one of the center caps
(I'm running rally's) was loose.
I know you ain't running rally's but are your center caps the bolt on type?

Re: And so it begins................

No they slide through but this is definitely a driveline issue. It only does it when I lift and press on the throttle and it sounds bad sometimes.

Re: And so it begins................

Nope I was out of town when the weather was nice and its been raining and looks to all week so I dunno when I will get a chance to get underneath it and drop the starter to get a new plug in it and try again. Still crossin my fingers I know there is no antifreeze in the oil so thats a good sign so far.
