Chevy C-30 cab & chassis

I just got this out of the garage on tuesday 12-14 after about 9 months. I did the cab last fall but then the bed looked so bad I redid it also. The truck has a 350,sm465,159"wb the bed is a 8'x12' treated wood floor(2x6t&g), 9 ton hoist, pto driven pump, it weighs 7000lbs! Believe it or not it gets about 15mpg on the hiway! I love just cruising around in it.

Question for everybody since were talking 1 tons, can anybody ID the truck in Meet the Parents, that the x-boyfriend delivered the altar in and through sewage all over everybody? I believe it's a 1.5 ton but not sure.

Kevin, these trucks prior to 73 didn't have wide dually rear ends. The earlier trucks actually had a narrower rear end so the dual wheels still stayed narrow. In 73, the rearends got wider under the duallys and the trucks grew "hips" on the bed because of it.

Also, there was never a true dually with a bed made prior to 73 either. All the earlier dually trucks were cab and chassis, which means they came with no bed.

well mrwilmoth under "normal" circumstances i would say that your picture would not count, but seeing as how the truck in question is hauling about 9 or so "BARRELS" of jack daniels that might be enought reason to convince everyone here cool pic!

Yea joesjunk, I really like your black one ton that I posted for you. I could drive that daily, if you put that Duramax running gear in it.

The Black '68 has a 400small block/400 turbo, the '71 has a 402BB/4speed, and the '70 has a 292/4speed. What a variety!!!

Well, This is the only pic I can find of the 72. This is not a good pic. I know I have a better one, but I can't find it. It is a factory Cheyenne/30. It is a little rough, but runs and drives. Check out the option on this thing!! My friend has a 1934 Ford body in it right now and is storing it at his place.

So judging from the option sheet, the rear shock absorbers were an option?

Neither of my two duallys, a 68 and a 72, has rear shock absorbers or any sign of them ever being there.
