Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

There is an option at the top of the uploader on photo bucket that you can change for picture size when you upload. This is what it says and what size I use:

max image size: 640 x 480 (options)

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Here's my new (to me) 1970 C-10. 350 Crate motor, 650cfm Edelbrock and the original 3 on the tree. Flew to Alabama from DC last weekend to buy it, drove it 12 hours to DC, then drove it to Cincinnati and back this weekend (10 hours each way) hauling two bikes and three people....

Definitely need a 4 speed in it...

Thumbs up Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Airborne,
That's a sharp truck and it sounds like you made a good buy!
Is that a "vintage air" system?
Also, I've never seen that speaker placement!!!!!!!!
Enjoy it.

The A/C is from Oldairproducts.com so it's definitely aftermarket. The speakers I didn't do either - kind of strange and I'm either going to get rid of them and just use the ones on the kick panels or mount them up and behind the seat. Not sure yet. For the price I paid I'm really happy. All I really want to do to it is go back to the stock wheels and put in a 4-speed. I just need to figure out which 4-speed will slap in with a minimum of work. I can do the work, I just want a 5 hour job with no hassle or fabrications...

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks

Just my opinion, but I would look at a 700R4. I think you would be happier with the automatic instead of a stock 4 speed. I have the four speed in my 72 4x4 and wish I had a five speed. If you do a search on tranny swaps, it should give you some varied opinions. I've never had a 3 on the tree.
