I had to retake the picture because you couldn't see the rims well enough to see that it actually had tires!

Price was even more awesome, and the road trip back was great. Ran flawlessly, weather was perfect.

It's not bad at all, but I do park all my "summer toys" for the winter, they really only are on the road from about May to September, and I have my 2002 Crew Cab 4x4 that I drive year round. The roads typically aren't that bad here, I do live in a small town with more dirt roads than most, but I'm less than 100' from pavement.

This first picture here is right outside of my driveway, the other three are dash mounted phone pics taken on road trips around the state:

Going to Valdez:

Going to Fairbanks (was actually on the way to pick up my parts truck in this one!):

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Wow Nick, your roads look slightly better than ours but we live quite a ways north in Sask also plus our time line is exactly same as yours, sometimes less depending on the amount of snow which up here is always a mystery.
Looks like beautiful country, remember many years ago as a teen my parents had a trip planned to Alaska but never did work out, think they would have really enjoyed the beautiful country, they are both gone now but still think of their dream trip.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Added this as a driver around town... one owner 1980 new crate motor. So I decided it was too stock and needed a 3/5 drop and some new wheels. These old trucks are getting a lot of attention these days.

Thanks, not at the moment no. My kid and I enjoy it too much. Just installed new steering wheel and stereo system, LS swap is next on the to-do list.

No pics of stereo, went with the custom auto sound setup, aux cable and Spotify works for me! Did a Rockford amp, punch 3.5" in the dash and two pioneer 6x9. That amp really woke it up. Very happy with the sound.

I picked this old girl up today. 32 years ago. No it's not a typo. I happened to look in the glove box at my paper work because I knew it was in Dec, but couldn't remember what day.Name: Pic 5 GMC.jpg

Ok One more. I haven't done a lot to er. New rearend (pinion nut backed off and ruined things ), Clutch, starter, and a paint job in 1995.
The seat needs to be redone, and the original wood bed is showing it's age.

32 years, so cool to still have the truck, wish I would have kept a few of my 135 plus builds for the last 30 years but had fun building all of them, have to wonder how nice the "one" I kept all this time could actually be, glad you have yours and all the memories that go with it, many more years to you Too Tall.

Mudman.
A person doesn't realize what they've got when they own it for so long.
My hats off to some of builders and the rust they have to fight with.
I've been really fortunate I didn't have hardly any rust when I painted it, only cab corners.
