Re: Trail Cam Pics
Don't like the looks of that rat snake, rather take my chances with the rattle and bull snakes. Few years back I set up our first trail cam in the driveway so everytime we went out the door it would trip, that way I'd learn how to set it and see how it was operating. Two days later I had a picture of a nice mountain lion standing next to the bumper of my truck. We changed the way we did things at night just walking out the door with a flashlight.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
About a month ago my son and a friend driving out our driveway ran into a large lion. On a darker note we just watched the 9:00 news and this morning a 5 year old girl was attacked by a large black bear and drug for some distance before being scared off dropping the little girl. The girl will survive after 77 stitchs, there is a large man hunt going on as we speak to put this bear down. This is in Palisade Colorado roughly a mile or two from us. Be mindful of your surroundings if you suspect you have lions and bears and kids.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
The black bear in question was caught and shot today, was taken to Denver for testing. The little girl is in fair condition.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
It's that time of year the younger bears are looking for their own home range and we're dealing with it here , a 250 lb black bear was spotted about 3 miles from here 3 days ago ,Thursday he was a mile away and yesterday on our ridge 100 yards away , Even here in our area it's not everyday they are spotted here and with all the wild game and bear "habitat " He may be here to stay ? This is a rural neighborhood so we are just being a little more aware .So far all he's doing is just being a bear and hasn't bothered anyone . I just don't want to have him walking in the garage while I'm working and want to help ...

Re: Trail Cam Pics
It's the big kitties that make me nervous. They're sneaky, I have spotted one by my house a couple of times.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
So I was in the side yard two weekends ago doing some tree limb trimming and I hear this noise. Look up and think- why is this big black dog running across my yard and then I realize it is a bear- not a dog. Going full tilt across the yard about 25-30 feet from me and into the woods. It was something....had to take a minute after that. Figure it was 150-200 lbs. I've had more bear sightings on my trail cam this year than the previous years combined. These are pics from when I checked today.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
Pretty cool the way the coyote posed. I wonder if it can hear the camera.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
I see this young guy nearly every time I go sit in that box. He's young and curious. Maybe the outlaws around where I hunt will leave him for next year. Does it look like a bullet hole in his ear? It does to me. Here's a really nice young 6 point buck that I've seen and passed on a couple of times. He should be a really nice buck next year. I've got a kitty cat too.

Re: Trail Cam Pics
Something has been killing the house cats in the area here, mine as well. One neighbor put a trail cam in her yard and pulled up coyotes and a bob cat traveling through her yard.
