Help with Wiring 1972 C10 LWB
I'm considering the AAW wiring harness. I have the intermediate Truck harness installed.
Has anyone installed the AAW and does the rear wiring plug directly into the intermediate harness in rear crossmember, or run all the way back from firewall? Also, what did everybody do about wiring up the AC? Did you get AC wiring harness for $125 more? Yes, I've talked with AAW and MCBMatt here. MCBMatt tried to help but wires are in sealed package so thought I'd ask everyone here. AAW was useless |

Re: Help with Wiring 1972 C10 LWB
I used the AAW classic update kit on my 72 Blazer. Reused the A/C from the old harness, wires to the rear are long and go all the way to the taillights. I don't remember a connector in the rear. Almost all other plugs with the kit are like the originals same style size etc. Firewall connector is different and needs the square hole enlarged....Hope that helps. Its worth the money, but does take some time and a crimping tool....This is what worked for me... https://www.amazon.com/Delphi-Packar...e+crimper+tool

I think the OP is talking about original style individual harnesses. I'd probably go to aaw.com or whatever and look at their listings. The original tail light harness plugs into the firewall by the engine.
Also check wiringharness.com. I have a feeling the original style harnesses actually come from there. |

Thanks franken. Spent a couple of hours talking with MH electrical, the wiringharness.com folks and they helped a lot. Ordered the harness from them. More expensive than AAW and will see how original style works out for me.
