Re: Project: Clean the Green Jimmy

drove out to the farm
pulled the batts from the other 79 to charge(selling the plow)
finally got around to removing the old useless bumper pull hitch n wires n tape
what you don't see?
soldered up the wires, one red for electric brakes? goes to the front junction on firewall
rolled back on to the hot iron, only to put my arm on it jumping

looks much better

Yep. Nice to see a clean original driver being used and enjoyed. I don't remember that color but I do like it.

Re: Project: Clean the Green Jimmy

I haven't read a complaint about them yet, looking forward to seeing one on the Green Jimmy. I'd like to have one on my green truck but am afraid of theft around here.

hadn't thought of theft, aside from getting in,but at least i'd narrow down who stole it,and for what kinda truck.
It feels quite thick, heavy stitching, good looking zippers too.
Should match well with it tan inside too.

Re: Project: Clean the Green Jimmy

I worded that poorly, I didn't mean theft of the top but rather the thieves who would cut it just to see what's inside. Looking forward to seeing it on your truck.

Looks great! I love them with the rear and sides rolled up - open air driving but with shade.
