Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R

I might have missed it somewhere, but looks like the factory trailing arm crossmember. Did you just flip the trailing arm brackets upside down? Whose arms are you using? Looks awesome, one of my favorite trucks

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R

we take a Early Classic Enterprises Trailing arm and modify it to use swivel ball end. Which equals no bind, allowing the suspension to move freely as it's designed to do. The mounting brackets are sourced out of a Hotchkis TVS kit, part of their "Anti Hop" portion of their kit. Let's us move the arm up or down, changing the center of gravity of truck as well as improving the traction aspect of things at the same time. Yes that is a factory trailing arm crossmember. I didn't see the need to change it so we welded it in place cut the bottom part that hangs way down off and reinforced it. So now the lowest point of the truck is the front crossmember under the engine.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, I like to take pieces from various kits that I know work well, and create my own set up. That way I get the best of all worlds in the suspension universe.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R

Good news, got the engine back from the Machine Shop, now, just waiting on bearings and rings and we can get it put together over the weekend. Got it painted today, Looks *****in, I will post some pics this weekend once I get it together. When I say "get it together" I mean the motor, not me personally. Although that is debatable according to my wife......

Normally I wouldn't like a vehicle like this but, you seem to have taken a no-stone-unturned approach and nothing feels like a "bolt on". Beautiful design and interesting conception. Not that my opinion matters in the least!

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R

Thanks, I really appreciate your $.02 That's kind of where we were going with it. If it's there it has to work, If it's not there..it wasn't needed or at least yet anyways.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R UPDATE TIME

It's been a busy couple weeks. We put the cab back on this weekend. Built the motor 2 weeks ago. Starting setting everything back together for the last time. The autometer pic is not "in the truck" it is a generic photo, but we are doing this gauge panel in the C10R. Actually just got that today. So I've got some wiring to do.

Let me round up some pictures for you. To give you a mental Idea....carbon fiber dash Autometer/stack dash, wilwood pedals, Cobra Suzuka Pro Carbon / Kevlar Seats in Black, Shroth Racing Belts 6pt, few more carbon fiber touches. Basically the whole interior is either black or Carbon. But I'll be a nice guy and get some photos up here. We have just been slammed trying to get this puppy done, it's over at magnaflow for a couple days getting the exhaust done, then we are track testing on Monday if all goes well. But I have a couple days to recover so I will get some pics up here. I think I said that 3 times.......that is just me reminding me.

Re: PCHRODS Build : Project C10R CARBON FIBER PARTS

These parts are available as well, just like the ones we are using on the C10R.

Welding is a lot like sex, you don't have to be great with the rod as long as you thoroughly prep the surface and your good at grinding
