No fan shroud? Maybe you won't need it living where you do.

Because other people have figured out how to do this conversion, so your services are not needed by them.

Just kidding about the gettin rich part! Money can't buy the fun I have building these things. There's a lot to be said about being able to do what you love and love what you do. If I ever kept track of my hours, I'm sure I make far below minimum wage.

i understand completly about the figuring hours. i have built and sold 3 of these c10s this is the 4th and its mine well my son or daughters. when the time is right.

if i had figured in time i would have had to gottes 10 to 15 thousand more each ha ha. i just love tinkering with these trucks. i will build one of your bigazztrucks one day as long as my cancer does not get worse i will have one and another 70 chevelle ss too.

He enjoys working in the shop as much as I do... and he is an expert on using all or any tool...

Good to have him out enjoying it. He is my fire as he wants to ride in it.

Took your advice... blasted headers tonight and painted with high heat ceramic paint.

Photos.... Finished product looks great... these photos do no justice.

Got the overflow tank cleaned up. Found a split in it. Any chance JB Weld may fix this?

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

It appears I have a leak on my master cylinder. It is where the master bolts to the hydro-boost.

The bolts are tight. There is a slow drip of fluid. Anyone know if there is a gasket or seal between the mating surfaces?

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

As previously mentioned I managed to get a nice set of stainless mirror arms this past weekend. It was a good find for 20 bucks.

I will have to get matching mirrors, but I am halfway there.

Beats the mirrors that came with the truck...

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

When the master cylinder leaks through the seal, this is where it comes out. Usually there is a small "weep hole" to prevent pressure from building where it should not be.

I have fixed splits like this many times using a soldering iron with a flat screwdriver shaped tip (I keep an old cheap one just for this). Will weld them right back up. Just use the iron to melt and mend the split. Wiil work on all sorts of plastic parts on these trucks. Hope this helps.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion

Slow night, damp weather has left me in the not feel like mood for working tonight...

However, I did manage to get my passenger side fender painted on the inside... I will start the driver side tomorrow evening.
