Ideas for shipping a 67-72 cowl panel?
Hi all - has anybody recently shipped a cowl panel? If so - how did you ship it safely?
I was thinking of saran wrapping it to a 2x4 of the same length and then bubble wrapping it. Does anybody else have any insight on how they have shipped this part? Thanks! |

How about 1 x 2 frame with a few ladder struts and wrap it in cardboard. The package will be rigid with ends and edges protected.

I have shipped a few of them. I just made a cardboard box the right size, cut a piece of 1/4" Luan plywood the size of one side to protect the top of the panel and packed the whole box tight with styrofoam worms. Never had a problem doing it that way. I've had good luck getting heavy cardboard at the local furniture store..... LockDoc
