69 Burb what's it worth?

My Dad's neighbor has his 1969 burb out on the street with a for sale sign on it. I was just curious how much it might be worth. I didn't get a good look but it doesn't look like it has a stitch of rust on it. I think it is all original. I probably can't afford it but I figured someone here might be interested in it. If I can I will try to get some pictures to post.

Here are some pics. when I got a little closer it looked like it had been repainted but every thing else looked good. One piece of trim in the front looked loose and I didn't see any dents. The for sale sign said 1969 but I don't know how to tell the difference from the 70's burbs.

Looks in real nice shape (other than those crummy looking mirrors) Don't know about Cali but around here it looks like a $4-6000 Sub based on what I see so far. Really depends on what options, engine it has. How the interior looks. How it runs and drives. What is original or not.

the grill is 71 or 72... is there a chance it is a 71? Does it have disk brakes? Did you get any other photos?

The hubcaps are from a 73-up truck. Looks nice and straight. My cousin lives in Atascadero. How much is he asking for it?

Re: 69 Burb what's it worth?

From the pictures it looks like a solid 3 seater burb to me.
I'm currious about the details though.

Re: 69 Burb what's it worth?

I'm not an expert but to put it into perspective here is one I'm looking at for $4500 CDN.

At least give you something to compare

Quote:
Sorry that i didnt respond earlier. For your information, the truck is not a 4wd, its 2wd, and it is a canadian truck. It does have some rust on, it, nothing you can't buy the patch panel for. The engine is not original, but the engine, is from another truck from that generation (the original engine was a 250 six, its now a 350 V8).

As for the history of the truck, i have quite a bit from pervious owners, and i have the original sale form. There are numerous receipt of things that were bought for it over the years. It also comes with a bunch of extra stuff that i have picked up for it. And to give you a little history on the truck, it was built in Oshawa, Ontario, and was sold at a dealership in Sudbury(where it lived most of its life), and i purchased it from a guy in Keswick Ontario. And over the years this truck has been painted once, about 14 years ago, but it has never been restored, so it is basically a survivor, its one a few rare Canadian Suburbans. I currently drive it daily, and i enjoy it.

For parts that have been replaced:
-Altenator
-Water Pump
-Tires
-Gas Tank Straps
-Belts
-Fuel Filter
-Gas Lines
-Rear Brake Lines
-Rear Brakes
-Rear Wheel Bearings
-All the U-Joints and Hanger Bearing
-Motor Mounts and Tranny Mount

Re: 69 Burb what's it worth?

I would say if everything is in good working order it would be about $4,000 in my area. Now if the seats are from a later model vehicle like the side mirrors and hubcaps then I would put the value at about $500 less. Also if the A/C works then the value could go up by as much as $1,000 from my original estimate; at least down here where working A/C in an old car is a big deal.
