292 and 3 speed manual? My kind of panel/truck! Lots of guys on here can weld up sheet metal, I suspect you are one of them.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

It's a bit too rough for me, but I hated seeing it just sit and going to waste. I'll get it running and driving and probably sell it to someone else to mess with. I would like to find a nice survivor panel someday

Re: Suburban and panel finds

I like that it ran good 27 years ago. If it really has light rust and his starting point is 2800, it might be a decent deal if he comes down some.

Just curious, would you buy it at that price, or check it out in person and try to get a large discount? Seems high to me.

$9500 does seem high to me. I would probably wait to see if the owner lowered the price on it. I tend to buy Suburbans that need work, as they are cheaper and I can do the work.

Is it light rust for Redmond WA or Redmond Or? Big difference.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

First posted back on Blue Burban Day 10/16. I wasn't including prices then so no idea if it has changed, now $ 4100. I am suspicious of the 300 HP rated two barrel 307. Doable, but not without lots of race gas required compression. But if the rust is limited to the drivers side floor board this seems like a deal even if the HP is a typo.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

I've heard of meth labs in the backs of 'burbs but a body shop?

I guess the seller means "there are body panels, etc. in the back."

Re: Suburban and panel finds

After going back and forth, patiently waiting for almost 2yrs. I finally got this fairly rust/rot free Ca tub from a guy that parted it out 8 yrs ago. He scored it cheap at a estate sale. It was a running and driving burb. He parted it out after pulling the motor.[IMG][/IMG]

Now this looks inviting, although the liftgate lip seems to have a lot of rust.

4x4, AC, rear AC......just posted 19 hours ago.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

My loser tag line, "if I had the space" or "if my truck was running." Anyway, you get the picture. I'm not a fan of showing up with a large sum of cash in states that deny the right of self defense, but I'd literally hire myself some muscle to go look at this one.

Nice C20 panel in CA.
