Re: wiper motor won't shut off

There are two hot wires going to your wiper motor. One is supplied from the wiper switch, the other is direct from ignition, and runs to the "reset "side of the wiper; this makes your wipers "reset" to the bottom of the windshield when you turn off the switch.

Any chance those wires got switched?

The wiper motors on the '67-'72 trucks only have one hot wire. It connects to the #2 terminal on the wiper motor.

Actually, if you read the first paragraph in that link you provided. You will see that there are, in fact, 2 hot wired supplied to the wiper motor. One comes from the wiper switch, and the other from the ignition.

PARK!!! That's the word I was looking for, not "reset", thanks.
