It happened again!

I went to buy a nice hood from a guy and ended up with this (already had the bed on trailer) for $300. And that's not even the end of it but I'll have to post the rest of the bundle in general as its off topic. Think there is a barnfind thread.

Really nice find there. Was the owner parting his truck out?

He took it apart and then left it sit abandoned to other projects. It was stashed way out back and I know him so I finally knocked an asked about the hood. Before I knew it I owned this and a few other things. He just kept pointing at stuff and throwing out numbers anyone in their right mind couldn't say no to.
then he said he would call me first when he was ready to let go of more..and there's still some nice finds to be had.

Clear open title on truck too. That's worth the $300 around here. And I reckon the visor is worth about the same!

You know, if you move up to the northeast you wouldn't have anywhere near as much trouble with this.

If you have the room and the money, start a theme park! I would visit!

You've become known locally as the "guy who pays way more than junk prices in cash for old truck parts". As in "call him he buys that junk all the time".

The ones that call me always think their parts are made of gold though from the prices they want.

I have a little acreage with hills an hollows (or hollers depending on where you hail from). If you want to partner up we'll make it a zip line theme park. Zip out of a cab, land in a bed sort of thing.

Amazing how fast word spreads about that friggin junk buyer lol. I think pricing has to do with location. If you are dirt roading around here and don't mind jumping or looking over fences and snooping behind barns and in the woods there are loads of these things in the Ozarks.

People are slowly starting to drag em out front and put stupid pricing on them on craigslist. Full blown rust buckets for $2800 etc.

I'm also severely addicted to constantly looking so for every deal there's a hand full of walk aways.

Nah, just means a piston rod will soon be sticking out the side of your block... LOL

Then you'll find a 10k mile crate motor for 50 bucks....
