well i got the driver side inner and outer fender off today... and now im waiting on more parts to arrive so i can fix my rockers and such... just thought id put my progress up to show all of you...

im not sure what color scheme im going.. im keeping the two tone though.. dads going to buy the paint for me so i said any color he wants he can have as long as i get it sprayed im happy...

took me three hours to cut the old metal out. make my template out of cardboard.. trim my new piece (out of what was left of my new cab corner).. trimmed it and welded her in..

when i cut the rotted metal out..i pulled out bunch of leaves, dirt, and mud.... i would say thats what caused the rust

little update... had a friend from the board here come help me last night.. 88jrfan came and cut out my outer floor piece so w e can put in my outer floor extension..cut out my front pillar and now i got a kick panel on the way. so we are getting back to work on it saturday..sorry no pictures i moved the truck and had no light and my cell phone doesnt have a flash.. i also cut a little square in my floor due to rust..its easy fix..ill post pics up after we get the floor extension on

got windshield out today and wire wheeled where it was and cleaned up the surface rust.... also took the pillars next to it down to bare metal

Well don't be stupid! Wear the helmet until you can afford a better one, trust me I was like you but I have gotten much wiser in my older years and I don't miss the 3am sand in the eye's ether.
How did you like the fit of the inner rocker panels? I have a set of those same one's but have not had a chance to use them yet.

i havent had the sand paper effect in my eyes yet just a nasty "sun burn" but anyways about the inner rocker thing.. i loved it i got it from a wes at classic heartbeat.. it was $114 including the shipping.. it was well worth it instead of tryin to piece things in i just got that went 4 inches up in the floor and nobodys going to see the seam once carpets over it so it doesnt have to be perfect.. i would recomend it to anybody.. im going to do the same on the other side

88jrfan cut my floor and everything so i just welded her in but still from what i did i liked it...you cant go wrong with it

cut the floor corner out... and put up the front pillar and clamped up the outer rocker

front pillar went on..thought it was fine..welded her all solid... couldnt get the outer rocker to fit good..started pryin stuff hittin with a block of wood over it still wouldnt budge..finally cut the pillar off again trimmed it up and fit it put three of four tacks on it... put the bolt threw the pillar put the outer rocker on and boom it fit alot better guess i gotta use filler when its time on the spots that i bent

outer rocker is done... all i got left is the floor rear corner where tank sits on, cab corner, and the two supports and passenger side is done then onto driver side

UPDATE: passenger side is almost done.. got the corner and the two supports then the floor... driver side needs the two supports, front pillar and rocker and floor and then i will be done with cab

heres an update with pics...passenger side is done... all thats left is cab supports (do those later) im going to get sanding blocks and body filler and do my corners and rockers.. then i can start sanding and prime the thing... heres some pics.. enjoy

here ya go...i went to walmart and got rustoleum paint since im going to have hush mat.. insullation.. and carpet so i just wanted to use cheap stuff on there since its going to be hidden anyways
