Re: Project (WRAITH)

I guess I just need to get the bed on and see. I guess I could always get the inboard PB bridge with the bags on the inside! I just want the stance right don't want the wheel too far in the wheel well.

Re: Project (WRAITH)

I also noticed that when I bolted everything up one notch was off little less than a 1/4 inch, is it going to be a big deal? I'm freaking out cuz I'm anal about my truck!

Where is the discrepancy? Typically less than 1/4" is no big deal. Just curious where it is "off" at.

The right notch is back further than the left one.

We all like things to be "perfect"... me included. BUT... I wouldn't be overly concerned with 3/16 of an inch on your notch placement. You will never notice or feel any effects due to this discrepancy.

Thanks Nate I'm stoked with your products all my buddies are amazed at your craftsmanship! I will be getting the front dropmember soon. Here is a pic of the notches, you can see the right notch is a tad further back.

Re: Project (WRAITH)

Nate,

Do you think the notch placement looks ok? We measured 26.5 from the middle of the second mount to the middle of the notch. Sorry for bugging you I just want this to be right, I'm freaking out cuz it's already bolted up. I have a pic in this thread so you can see.

It doesn't look to be off in the pics. To put your mind at rest you can use a square or plumb bob to confirm the measurement for the notch centerline. As you stated its 26.5" back from the center of the second (the flat one riveted to the top of the frame) bed mount brackets mounting hole. That's the center of the hole where the bolt from the bed drops through (good pics in the instructions). If you come up with the correct measurement you can sleep again. Don't worry if you are 1/4" off or so. It will still be fine.

Re: Project (WRAITH)

Nate,

Thanks man we used a plumb bob and squared everything up and we measured 26.5 so should be good. Was wondering with the suspension fully compressed where should the rear end touch up in the notch in the very middle or little forward in the notch?

We set it up so the notch center line measurement puts the notch in the center of the bed's wheel well opening. We also designed the suspension so that the axle lands in the center of the notch when fully deflated... centering it in the wheel well. This puts it slightly rearward at ride height.... but we figured it best to center it when you are aired out and everybody is checking out the truck!

Re: Project (WRAITH)

Nothing really new going on, waiting to get front dropmember kit. Got a new Chevy 12 bolt rear end since I had the last one cut too short, but I sold the old rear end for a good profit so not out any money. Lesson learned measure twice cut once! Lol

Re: Project (WRAITH)

Love the chassis and the wheels, you thought outside the box on those and I think they look really good on there. Your making me want 22's in the rear. Can't wait to see more updates.

Re: Project (WRAITH)

This is what the front wheels will look like, they have a smaller lip than the rear. Probably run a 265/35/22.

Re: Project (WRAITH)

I know it's the cart before the horse but I got my front wheels Fuel Hostages 9.5x22 going with a 265/35/22 for a tire just deciding on Toyo Proxes STll's or Nitto 420S's. Just got to get that front dropmember ordered asap!

Re: Project (WRAITH)

Nice, I would go with Toyos to match your rears unless your planning on changing the rears to Nitto.
