Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Thanks everyone,
Dave I was just coming on the site to post this when I saw your message man! Great timing. I can't believe it's here already. I'm so blessed to have this life and the people in it with me. We have worked hard for this. Our kids are grown and now we have our grandson to help raise, it's going to be epic to be able to be here for him. I pray God will let me be here for a long time and see him become a young man as my son has.

Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Congratulations Andy, that is great news! Forty years with the same employer is a mighty rare thing anymore. Try not to spoil your grandson too much! (Good luck with that)

Congrats. Now, as soon as you work down that "honey-do" list, you'll be good to go. That took me over three years. May you be lucky.

Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Congrats, I retired Jan 2 and don't seem to have time to do half of what I had planned. If I knew then what I know now I would have retired 3 years earlier though.
My main problem is that about the time I get going good my knee or ankle give me fits and I don't get anything accomplished after that.

Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Thanks guy's. Well my health is pretty good right now. I'm not on any kind of medication and I quit smoking a few years ago so as of right now I'm pretty good.
Plan on spending a lot of time at our beach house now and just sitting on the beach and tinkering with golf carts.

Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I have 10 more working days left before I walk out of work for the last time.
It's going to be a great day but also a sad day. For I will miss some of the people I have had the privilege of working with for 40 years.

Re: Yea haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Awesome - great to hear that you are sprinting across the finish line instead of crawling! My wife retired in June, I'm planning on it pretty soon (within a year) I'll be 62 next year and I can afford it, so it's time. Plus I have a sweet little granddaughter to enjoy. Keep us posted!
