3\5 springs

Am wanting to lower 70 step but am wondering if i can do it with just changing the springs its not a show truck but like the look dont want it on the ground but wanted to know if i needed to change spindles also ? Thanks to all

You will also need drop shocks,... with your 3/5 spring drop.

You can get away with just springs. Might not be the best ride but it will do.

With 3" drop springs in the front, your LCAs will be dangerously close to the ground. IMHO

They will be 4.5"-5.5" from the ground without drop spindles.

Not by themselves.
My 69 has 3" springs and drop spindles.
I plan to add 20" wheels,...

just picked up a complete crossmember from a mid 80s truck and am going to rebuild it so am i correct to understand that i need to add drop spindles and does any one have pics of a truck with that setup? would like to see the finished product

Does anybody know if lowering springs have less coils (factory cut) or just made differently to lower a truck with same amount of coils? And if factory lowered springs are just less coils and are shorter, do they rattle around in spring pocket when truck is raised off ground for service?
