Thumbs down Truckandcarshop.com

We all make mistakes but I just wanted to let you know that due to the multitude of errors and poor service I am staying away from Truckandcarshop.com

I bought their 5 lug conversion and front end rebuild kit a while back and have just now gotten my truck to the point that I could start putting everything together...well guess what...problems. First off the outer tie rods were not going in without a Herculean effort (it was flattening out the threads) and i ended up having to lop some off to get everything equal.

The caliper hoses they sent me are about 10" shorter than the ones I had to go buy from Oreilly's. They wouldnt even come anywhere close to the frame. I put in a call and after waiting for 10 minutes they told me they would call me back...that was 3 days ago. Oh, and no banjo bolts either...yay!

I also bought their lower control arm u bolt kit and when they wouldnt fit around the control arm shaft they basically said 'oh well' and told me i could get a refund if I paid to ship them back...great, i get to pay for their mix up.

They tend to be the on the cheap side of the spectrum but i am finding out its just not worth it. Just FYI.

Kris

Re: Truckandcarshop.com

I have had good experiences when I bought a set of bumper brackets at a car show. The next car show I went back to them for adivce and they referred my to Noah back in California. He actually sent me a 2WD set of brackets to try and send back which ever one's I didn't need (on them). Ask for him next time you call. No promises but maybe they helped me out a little since I approached them in person? Sorry to hear about your issues with them and parts...

That's one nice thing about our vendors (GMC Paul, Mar-K etc..) they work things out a little better.

Re: Truckandcarshop.com

Yeah Truckshop service is not that good!! I went there in person twice and the people there are impolite. And lets not talk about their parts!! Their parts are the cheapest Ive ever bought. So I dont like them either.

I actually spoke to Noah about my lower control arm u bolt issue.

I also attempted to buy some parts from these guys in person at the Moultrie show in November but they ignored me and when I did get someones attention they were fairly short...like I was bothering them. Its all for the best because I wandered around until I ran across Tim Christian and bought everything I needed from him!

Re: Truckandcarshop.com

I`ve sold to him a few times. He`ll wheel and deal to get rare non-repo`d parts,as they all will. They do come across as arrogant and unconcerned about your particular sale.I wouldn`t let them have a tach/vac dash I had because he wanted to control the deal.I said,"I can get this stuff anywhere.Go find yourself another tach/vac dash",and walked off. And,he wanted it bad.

Re: Truckandcarshop.com

Chiming in late, but I have had difficult experiences with them as well. Wrong parts, parts not sent. Fooled me twice, so I stopped shopping there.
