?? TH350 pan differences

Is there any difference between the stock depth of a car TH350 and a Truck 4x4 TH350?
I only see one advertised as stock and then the optional "extra" capacity deep. But I have a buddy telling me that they are actually different. I don't have any for comparison so I came here to the experts> Thanks.

Hey Kevin...How have you been..haven't heard or seen anything out of you in forever!..Ive been wondering what you were up to.
As far as your question I'm not sure either, but i do have an original 1972 4x4 TH-350 pan I just pulled off a trans..I can take some pics and measurements if you like...if we can find someone to do the same with a 2 wheel drive pan that should clear it up?

Re: ?? TH350 pan differences

Hey Rob, still alive and breathing. Hear is what I have found out. There is only one TH350 pan. They are all the same configuration and depth. There were two different TH400 pans in stock form. Of course you can buy aftermarket pans in different depths but TH350's come one depth stock for all applications. So I have ordered a new pan.
And I am back home now. Been in South America for awhile. There's a story for you. We need to hook up and see what's new. One thing, bought a new Harley and picking up a new trailer for it tomorrow.

Re: ?? TH350 pan differences

I have a TH350 out of a early 70's car, 74 C10 and 74 K10 and all have the same depth stock steel pan. Does not mean a deeper pan wasn't an option maybe on bigger trucks? I went to a deeper aftermarket finned aluminum one to gain a couple of quarts for better cooling.
