Looking silly is a matter of personal preference. It is more about rubbing at full turn. Some run 33 x 12.5 on stock springs without issue and some feel 32 x 11.5 is about as big as you can go. If your springs are over 40 years old like the truck and saggy, I would stick to the 32" . I think it really depends how much life is in your springs.

I ran 33 14.5 on 15x8 with stock springs. That was too wide. They rubbed on the springs. 33 12.5 should be fine. I would try to go to a 10" rim with 4.5" - 5" back space.

you can go big without a big lift. I saw a blazer once with bigger wheel arches to accommodate bigger tires less lift. It was done right and hard to tell. Of course, that is a lot of work.
