Here's my 04 Avalanche, I've since added factory style 17" rims with a little larger tires and factory style nerf bars.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

Here is my 2000 GMC Sierra C1500 I bought a couple weeks ago. It's got the 5.3 and many other options including a tow package. I really want to lower it but need to wait for some funds to become available. So far I love driving it.

2005, 4.8, 5-speed. Plan on a 4-6 drop in the next couple of months. I have everything to do it, just have to find the time.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I have an 05 shortbed regular cab. It has the 4.8 and a 5 speed. So much fun. Thinking of putting a 4-6" drop on it. Buddy has the whole setup he got off a customer. Installed and everything for $500 bucks, good price?

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

My wife drives an '04 Avalanche. I sold my '99 reg. cab swb a year ago and got an '03 reg. cab 4x4. Here's the wife's ride. I still have a lot of stock parts left for these trucks,... from my old '99. I have a Silverado grill, exterior door handles, exterior mirrors (non-power), tailight lenses and harness, and some wheels/tires, like on Slammed67's truck. PM me if you guys need anything.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I just bought a new Yukon XL 4X4, come on man with the employee pricing I saved $10k anyone can afford to buy new when they are "giving" them away. I even got the factory (dealer) installed GMC 20's. Looking for some agressive tread.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

Man, I'm always late to the party! Here's my '03 ECSB. 4.8L with G80 locker 3.42, SPE Proflash, AEM intake, Dynomax Ultraflo SS cat-back, Hypertech 160 thermostat, TB bypass, 2/4 McGaughy's drop with Belltech Nitrodrop shocks, Trenz billet grill & bowtie, Extang RT tonno, Alpine HU, Kicker 12" Comp VR, Kenwood 600w amp., and holy crap I just realized how much money I've dumped into this heap! I love it though. Will be selling the drop springs, hangers/shackles & shocks very soon. PM me if interested. Gonna have to use it for work AND play now so it's going back up to stock height most likely this weekend.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I love the look of a lowered truck with stock wheels...I dont know why but I prefer them to aftermarket wheels.

BTW great looking truck

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I've had a few...

2000 4x4 shortbed Z71 - loved it! Bought it used in 02, like it the best of all of the NBS's I've owned. Was just fun to drive.

2001 4x4 HD2500 x-cab - was okay but the 6.0 liked the gas.
First brandy new truck I'd bought since '89 (4x4 Toyota for 10K)

2002 4x4 x-cab Z71 - White w/tan leather interior.
Bought new.
Loved the truck but not the payments and insurance costs.

Got tired of loosing my assets everytime I traded one in.
So I just drive the old chevy's around now.
Got some for work or play for the price of something new, I own several of these old chevy's.

Mostly drive my work truck though...

Arrow Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

My project truck is a 2001 Silverado LS (5.3L) w/ 3,000 miles. It's been a shop truck it's entire life but that's soon going to change. In the next month, it will be my daily driver and rolling business card for Darkstar Fabrication.

Another one here. Bought mine Crew Cab 3500 in July of 02. Options it has are the DMax/allision combo, 4x4 and the LT package.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I have a ecsb 2005 lt with the L33 engine. The only mods I have to it are the basic bed liner and toneu cover, and 3" piping from the catback with a dynomax bullet muffler. I love the sound from it, it sounds better than my 04 Silverado (RIP, got hit by a drunk driver) with a dynomax single in, dual out did. It sounds much better than my 03 zr2 with dual exhaust and a vortec muffler did.
The zr2 was a fun truck but it didn't tow my boat very well and the 4.3l in it was very weak.
I loved my 04, that truck saved my life. I was going 45 mph and got hit by a drunk in a thunderbird who was probably doing about 75-80mph when he was going sideways into me. I walked out of the truck no problem, except for some neck problems. The cops thought that the thunderbird was a smashed up civc or cavalier with how bad it was. Thank god I wasn't driving my daily at the time, my crx. I will have to get pics of the truck sometime.

The 05 is a great daily, but I am thinking of selling it because I want to save some money to move from my condo to a house. I have always wanted a 73-80, so hopefully I will be able to find one in decent shape.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

We traded in our Toyota 4Runner for this '00 Tahoe. It has way more room on the inside, which is nice for the kids. Added the stock running boards for the short members of my family. Looked better without them, but it makes it a lot easier to get in and out. It was a pain to mount them because there are a bunch of fuel lines or something running along the inside of the rocker panel on the passenger side that gets in the way of the mounting brakets. My arms were full of fiberglass splinters when I was done. Oh, well.

Has 120,000 miles on it. I hope it holds up.

Thumbs up Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

Cool deal. Thanks for adding in this forum.
I suggested it in March, great minds think alike.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=144331

It's nice to see the site accomidating the current year folks too, along with those of us that have the older trucks (I fall into both catagories).

Oh yeah, I have the '72 blazer and I have a red 2001 4x4 extended cab silverado with the 5.3 Vortec motor and 22's.

Re: Who here actually has one of these trucks?

I am looking at buying an 03 2500 HD ex cab short bed 2wd with 3.73's and a 6.0. What kinda gas mileage can be expected? Looks like several of the trucks listed above are 6 liter powered.
