Will replacing front leaf springs add any height?

I can't quite seem to get a good answer about this, ive got a 69 4x4, stock height and the front end has been looking a little low for my liking lately. ive got the 2 leaf springs on each side, and i was wondering if replacing them would be a good way to add just a little more height, because i don't want to mess around with lifts. could i upgrade to the 3 leafs in front, for the effect I'm looking for?
thanks guys, if anyone can refer me to where i could find these replacements that would be most appreciated. thanks!!

the blue truck is mine, currently. 3/4 ton

the green trucks height is close to what I'm looking for, perhaps a small bit lower

if the front leafs are original. im sure they are sagging. so even replacing to the same should bring it up a little.

If the axle is under the leafs you can add a block. I don't have a 4x4 so I have no idea if the leafs are over or under the axle

Not on the front end... That's a recipe for disaster while driving down the road.

X2.

I would buy a complete quality 2.5" lift kit if it were mine. It is mild and will achieve the look you are after without any dramatic effects on suspension geometry.

I was actually contemplating the same advice but the op said he wanted to stay away from lift kits. I agree 2.5" will get you what you want.

Probably the most economical way too!

Any suggestions?

Also to the OP don't be deceived the SWB can play tricks on your eyes appearing to have a different stance too. NO doubt the years and miles on your original springs could use some love I have a long bed as well and the stance always looks different to me compared to a swb

Good luck and keep us posted as to what you do and how it turns out

You say the blue truck is your 3/4 ton. I count six lugs...???

At any rate, one more vote for sagging front springs, replace with new 2.5" springs. In fact that's what I did several years ago and have never regretted it. I used Skyjacker Softrides. No changes needed except for longer front shocks. Stock rear shocks are the correct length, extended and compressed.

Re: Will replacing front leaf springs add any height?

I replaced mine and it was a two leaf and purchased the two leaf that i thought would give me just a little more height cause they would be new, but nope it looked the same after installed. Had to do bushings anyway. Go with an extra leaf to get a little more height.

Are there not spring shops anymore? You used to be able to get your springs rearched.

Re: Will replacing front leaf springs add any height?

You can add a zero rate spring from ORD, adds 1" without changing ride. Or an add-a-leaf, use the long one, and you'll have an HD suspension setup like my 68 K-10 did from factory.
