need help with my 72 - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Ok, just been driving it past couple of days, replaced front calipers and brakes becuase front clipers locked up. any how

say i am getting off the freeway/highway when i drive for a little while the front starts to shake bounce around and i exit the ramp and it bounces more when i aply the brakes, it bounces a little when i take off, and then smoothes out. when i come up to the next light i let off the gas and slow (with out hitting brakes) and the front bounces alot. and it that way till like it sits for a while a few hous and then its fine again till i drive it for a while again.
ANY IDEAS WHY OR WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM? SHOCKS, BRAKES??

i am not sure but it my be that you have warped rotors,or drums. i have had this happen to a coupel of people i know. they replaced the rotors and that stopped the problem. like i said just an idea. have a good one.

thanks for the post got it figured out, It was the distance between the master Cylinder and the booster, the shaft inside wsa to long, and would not let the shaft go back far enough to open the relief valve part to let the brakes release

gald you found the problem. i wouldnt have guessed it was the brake push rod. have a good day, later.
