Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Thanks, It's a blue from a 1986 camaro, but I don't remember how they called it. By the way your truck looks really good too 1badgmc but personally I prefer 15 inch wheels I'd like to drop mine also but no money

My 88 4x4. I have been working on this for a couple of years. My daily driver. Before and after. Should have taken some better photos.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Cant remember if I posted mine but its a 1997 GMC SLE C1500 with a 5.7/4L60E. Has almost 220K miles but engine and trans have about 60k. Pretty clean but has its problems. Just replaced the 31/10.5/15 tires with the OEM size 235/75/15. Handles and drives so much better. Just finished a tune up as well and runs strong. With mine had the 3rd door and split bench like my 99C/K had when I bought it new, should have kept that truck.

This is my 96 3500HD. 81,000. 7.4, NV4500. Silverado package. PW, PL, Tilt, Cruise, Nice Seat, And Carpet. Harder to find on a bigger truck. It will be a rollback. I've got a bed off an old Dodge to put on it.

I drove a GMC Wrecker that was equipped the same as your 3500 HD brand new in 96. That was a sweet truck and pulled like a mule. All the bells and whistles.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

my father had a 90 or 91 k3500 wrecker. 454 PW pl tilt carpet etc. nice for the age. I really wanted that truck when he passed away but the wicked step mother sold everything off to line her pockets! at least she was nice enough to let me purchase my dads 92 k1500 before she traded it in on a brand new car.

Step moms are the wordt, a good friend of mine got screwed out of a 1970 440 cuda by his stepmom, tramp sold it the day after his dad died, before the will was executed. Tried to take it to court but the guy who bought had deep pockets

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

I usually post on 73-87, but have owned a 94 K1500 for many years. Actually have owned this one twice

Back in 01

Sold it in 04 to a good friend. And I bought it back in 2010 with a bad transmission.

Out with the old
in with the new

2011

And Current.

L33/60E from an 05 Z71. 3.42 Gears, Torsion Keys replaced, 3" body lift, add a leaf in rear as well as air assist air bags. Its a great daily driver/trailer puller.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Here's my newest addition. It's a 95 Silverado 1500. With the 6.5L Diesel. It's a pretty good truck, shes got 300,000 Miles on it, so when it drop below freezing starting is not an option. But oh well I have a 99 NBS GMC for those days. LOL

(Ignore the mess of a Blazer haha, it's a donor truck)

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Here's one I ran across today. It's a '91 owned by a really nice older couple. The truck was bought new by their daughter in '91. In 2001, with 50,000 miles on the clock, she and her husband tore the truck down and built it into what you see here. She was killed in a car accident 5 years ago tomorrow (Valentine's Day), and so now her parents are keeping it safe.

Ordinarily I wouldn't care for something like that combination of truck and vette but for some reason, I like it. It's nicely done. Wheel adapters, no doubt, to mount the vette wheels on it.
