Me too. No real play time this week, but I got a few small things done. Hopefully be able to set it down this coming week...

Thanks for the motivation. I'll keep 'ruining' it until I get sick of it, or someone makes me an offer I can't refuse...

Made a little progress on the passenger side notch. I won't bore you with the details- it is the same as the other one except for the studs I welded in for the rubber insulated clamps that will hold the fuel/brake lines. I still need to figure out where to mount the crossmember- it will have to wait until the suspension is mocked in place because it will also be the upper shock mount. Also got my shorter bumpstops in; they net about another 1/2"...

Well.... I've been pondering this for a while. I even went so far as to order the suicidedoors under-axle units you used. They will not work for me with anything longer than about a 6" collapsed length shock- good luck finding those. I thought about just running the ECE relocation lowers, but with a 3" block, they will hang too low.

After racking my brain and looking at ideas, I decided that I will try using the stock lower mounts(had to dig them out of the junk pile

) under the trailing arms. Hopefully, they will not hang too low, and I can get a good angle up to the crossmember. Only thing I'm worried about is if the shocks will clear the notches. I guess we'll see- suspension mock-up is scheduled for tomorrow...

The reason I asked is because I am thinking about going to a longer shock and mounting the lowers on the arms. I may just weld a mount to the side of the arms. I am currently shock limited on my lift. Not too bad though.

Monroe has a shock as follows--

Maybe with a little pitch in the shock angle and you can get the coverage you need.

Little forward progress. I got the axle back under it and bolted it to the trailing arms w/ just the 2" blocks- I still need to have some U-bolts made for the 3" block setup. Since my truck was originally a 4wd, the frame does not flare out in the rear for the upper spring mounts.

Before the step notch, I was using these air-over-leaf bolt on brackets from ART(slightly modified). Now, there is a big hole where they used to bolt to the frame, so I had to make them a little more permanent. I just whacked off the unneeded portion with my trusty angle grinder and made some gussets from the scraps of 3/16 plate from the notches.

Not much for in-progress pics though, I kinda got on a roll and forgot about the camera

Once I finish the mount on the other side, she'll be back on her feet

The Blazer is now holding itself up after being on jack stands for so long

, but it will not go all the way down due to the inner bedsides- There is still more than 3" between the axle and the top of the notch when aired out...

Sooo... I did what any self-respecting person would do: I hacked on my Blazer some more

More cut off wheels and an air nibbler got the offending sheetmetal out of the way- now this beast is starting to look right...

There is still just under an inch between the axle and the notch. This will disappear when I get the 3" block in and the truck will drop another inch when aired-out. The front is sitting on the inners, but they will go away when the Dropmember goes in.

Are there any legal issues towing that way since you wouldn't be able to see the plate when driving?
