Come on now it wasn't that bad......depending on which side you're on. I finally had to go to bed after the first two OTs.

Any updates on the truck?

There are probably 5,000 without a home currently, but it was slow coming so no emergencies or deaths.
My brother in law was interviewed and is on NBC, CNBC, The Weather Channel, and our local news. He is volunteering at a shelter and gets a little choked up talking about the families.

Drew,
After losing my wife at 44 yr.s young .. I lost interest in the truck world ..We used to go cruising every Sunday after church.. She was my rock and my world .. I hope i dont bum you guys out .. but it is so hard ..
It is so hard to get back to norm..But after seeing what you can do . i think there is a way to get back into it ..i have dreams of one day chopping my 50 chev. panel and lowering and shaving and going total rad .new s- 10 frame turnkey cruiser and basically doing some of the same things you are doing ."new frame etc". ..If i win the lottery i am gonna let you do it for me ok.."with good pay" lol .. I hope you are staying dry there in memphis .. you are one true hot rodder and old school metal worker ..awesome !!!!!! wow!!
THANKS FOR YOUR INSPIRATION . GOD BLESS. DANDELUXE

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Well, guess what I am still doing. Blocking and priming!!! Yee haw.
The second picture shows a spot I haven't yet hit with the 600 grit paper, which is what the whole panel looked like before. The 600 grit makes it so flat that even the primer starts to have a little shine to it.
The last pic is a little eye candy of my new displacement. I am a bone head though and forgot to weld up the old hole. I am thinking I may bond a piece of plastic to the back side and dab a little bondo in the hole.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I know the truck's a driver, but the emblem not being centered would drive me nuts. Since it's not my time weld up the holes, drill new ones to center it...and then hit it with a bit more filler and it'll be great

I thought about centering, but thought it was nice pulled back too. A little more artistic than just standard what you would expect.

Hey Drew Awesome build great concept, The 327 emblems are cool, instead of centering them you could add a Little Hammer to the end. Signifies Builder. It looks great just the way you have them. Ed.

Please. Anything BUT that. There's even a Honda Civic running around here with SS emblems on it.

Pretty soon everything ever built will be a "SS".
