Glad you are posting again. I always enjoyed your posts so I was about ready to drive out to Cali to see what happened to you. Nice house and shop, you do great work no matter what you are working on.

You might try to rig some supporting uprights and cross members to get a shade on the space between the buildings. steel up rights that set down in the concrete a pipe, that the upright will snug down into the bung in the concrete slab, then some pipe to join to support a light see through corrugated roofing. Something that can be temporary so the local authorities won't drain you on permits and other non esential drivel. Tarps for sides that can be rolled upped and stored.

The floor? I used Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield with the powder grit and clear coat. That stuff is really strong. I laid the roller on a piece of wood and came back the next day and could get it off. I hit it the roller with a hammer and it split the wood.lol It was put on about 4-5 weeks after the concrete was poured. The concrete was poured, the next week structure was started (it took about two weeks to complete), then I did the drywall, taping, and paint. That took another 2 weeks. I rolled on the Epoxysheild, the next day I rolled the clear with the grit mixed in. The base molding came from lowes.

I have a canopy that I use on hot days. You are right about permits in my area, they are strict so I use a canopy because its no permit is required and its easy to remove.

Yup wives are like that. Mine is harping about a shed too...won't be as nice as yours but man i've looked at yours at least 4 time just looking at set up and layout and man you hit it out of the park!!!

lol. thats pretty funny...its the opposite for me. In my garage the washer and dryer is in it. And stuff form the wife kept creepin in ( a chair, stuff for her sister, kids toys, etc) so i built a wall with a door and said the house is hers and the garage is mine.. best wall i ever built Lol

Actually I'm almost done with it. It much easier than you think. I'm just working with what was already designed and engineered by GM. Just putting pieces back together there is no rocket science in that. Plus you have books and video to help you along the way, man its nothing.

See this is where BAM is different than most. Most see transmission, narrow your own rear end, or custom fab every inch of a truck as "dang, WTF am i doing" BAM is like Man its nothing.....

Just recovering from spending a large part of my Saturday evening/ early Sunday morning going through your build again!!!

I think your obvious love of designing and building these trucks epitomizes the best of what we should all be trying to do. That is helping others achieve at least acceptable results, although your results are all exceptional, that would not have been possible without you continually posting basically what you are up to.

I finished the 4L60E rebuild with upgrades such as corvette servo and added more clutches than stock. Here are the pics.
