Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

We just purchased a new rig for the wife. It is the new 07 Tahoe. It is black with black leather. It came with the new factory 20" polished Aluminum wheels but I had to stop at the local Les Schwabs Tire center and put on a set of 22" chrome wheels. I love this thing, it is very sweet.

We had an Avalanche that we traded for a 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the Hemi, but it was way to small. I like the new styling on the 07 along with the curtain airbags that now come standard. My 7 yr old likes sitting in the very back so I like the airbag deal. The wife likes the power lift gate and the power release rear seats. You just hit a button and the middle row seats fold up. Button is in the front overhead console along with next to the seats. The new suspension system has a great ride. The middle row seats now come with the option to have them heated along wiht the front. Hope this helps.

Re: Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

I just bought me one. I got the Sport Red metallic with ebony insides with all the buttons & whistles. I have the 20" wheels too. The electric hatch is nice. Got the LTZ package 4x4 air ride assisted supension like on the cadilac's. This thing has more stuff on it than my wifes 94 elderado touring coupe, pluse it rides better. All I can say is Chevy out did there self on this one I think!

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

Congrats. I agree, they are great. I got the LT3 package with everything but the airride. The LTZ's they had did not have the DVD or sunroof. I thought that was strange for them to order that model with out everything. That is alright for me though, I got everything but the LTZ label and the airride. I bought it for the wife, but I really like driving it. I have been letting her drive my 06 Chrysler 300C with the HEMI. I think when the 07 Avalanche's come out I will trade in the Chrysler on it.

Re: Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

I saw one of the 07 in Conway SC when I bought my Tahoe. I guy & his wife had drove in from New York with it. On the way down to the beach ONSTAR called and was telling them they had a problem with the motor. They where at the dealer ship when I bought mine. It looks just like the Tahoe, and the Suburban is too. They told me they were expecting the Subs. any day. I should have waited but!!!! I got the navagtion system, backup camera,Backup senors,MP-3 player,DVD,CD,XM,FM,AM and AUX radio

Hey Oscareltemblo,

What year is your SS? I have a red '04. Yours looks just like mine! You have great taste, LOL! Any "mods" yet?

Re: Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

Now if Chevy would just take the Tahoe front end and put it on the pick-ups.

They look awesome now.

How about the gas mileage of the 07's, I've heard it's pretty good for a full size.

I have not seen what they say you should average. They show 15 and 21.

I am only seeing 13 on good weeks around town and 16.8 on the highway is the best so far. When I talked to the dealer abou this they mentioned a lot of people are saying the same thing. They told me it might take up to 5000 miles until we see that.

Re: Just Purchased a new 07 Tahoe

They have that cylinder displacement in demand (can't think of the accronym) when you need 8 they are there, the rest of the time is is 4 banger! DOD (displacement on demand!!) they put that on the 5.3 powered monte carlos as well getting into the 28ish range!! Now, if it would smoke the rears instead of the damn fronts!!
