LQ4 intake

......please tell me that vaccum port on the back of the intake is a push to connect fitting!

I pushed mine in and have nothing attached to it, there is another port on the top of intake i use for the brake booster.

mine looked like it was busted off, then I got lookin at it and it looks like a ptc..is this for the brake booster? what do I need to hook into it?

That is the push in connector for the brake booster. Mine came with the hose still attached. You can see it in this pic.

I imagine you could get one from Chevy, or a junk yard.

It is just a smooth round with a hose barb on the other end. I think there is an o-ring in the manifold that seals it and some fingers grab and hold it until you push the release ring.

I actually needed a 90 degree elbow coming out of the intake so I just made one. If I could find the original I would just mail it to you but I can't see it laying around.

Sup Mooseknuckles,
Yes it is a push to connect fitting. I had the same thing on my LQ4 swap. You will hade to push the blue ring inward and pull the plug out, no tools required. If you want to use it, like I did for the brake booster, you can buy the actual GM Brake booster Nipple from the stealership. The part number is GM 12559760. Hope this helped
