Re: Hazel the older Sister....

Made a little progress on the truck today. I got the air box made and all that is left is to add the breather, PCV, body work and paint. I also started getting the rear end I got from Lolife ready to build. It will be getting everything new, I'm only using the housing. I also finished installing the four post lift I bought, this will come in handy when it's time to build the exhaust and run all the plumbing.

I used a Edelbrock Performer Intake with the oil fill hole machined out. I will use the stock 67 oil fill tube.

Nope, the only way it will come out is: 1: take the motor lose and move it forward or 2: take the MSD dissy completely apart.......if you running a stock GM style HEI you can get those out.

I'll try and get some better shots before it leaves (the owner is in financial stress at the moment) The motor is a 2180 turbo (I believe).

Here's what's on the other side.....

Wow! That '69 brings back memories......I lost a Hugger Orange one in my divorce. She turned around and sold it for $1200.00. The guy felt so guilty, he stopped by at Christmas with some presents.

Re: Hazel the older Sister....

Made a little progress today on the truck. I finished fabricating the air box and all that needs to be done now is to body work and paint the valve covers and the box and that can be checked off the list. The front brake lines are all done thanks to my buddy Roger. I guess he didn't want to watch me go through a couple of sticks of tubing or he wants to see progress, either way I'll take it. I also cut all the bumps and unwanted ridges off the exhaust manifolds......also got started on grinding them down so I can get them slicked up and coated.....what a nasty job! I didn't get any pictures of this because by the end of the day I just wanted to get home and take a shower and get all the rust and iron off of me!
