Skymangs...Old Sarge Customs shop fire?

I saw something mentioned on Facebook from Old Sarge Customs they had a shop fire, Chris was hurt and wouldn't be turning wrenches for awhile. Now I can't find again.

If so, I pray they are all OK.

Anyone have any info?

We had a fire at the shop and Chris was injured. Until further notice Ole Sarge is closed for business. If you are on the books I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Chris is going to have a long period of therapy before he will be wrenching.

May God Himself bless his healing process. Burns are tough, maybe he has some other injury.

Met Chris and his son Mike a little over 2 yrs ago at Brad's picnic in Springfield, Mo. Chris and his son had just finished his sons pickup and drove it down. Chris is a super nice guy, sorry that something like this has side lined him for the moment. Prayers are with him and his family during this time...Jim

Re: Skymangs...Old Sarge Customs shop fire?

Does anyone know what happened? I know there was a fire but did a truck catch on fire and burn him or did he get caught in a bad garage fire. I don't know that it matters how it happened. It's awful that he got hurt. My thoughts are with you Chris. Although we have never met, he has talked me through a few things on my s10 swap. Great guy always willing to lend a hand.

Re: Skymangs...Old Sarge Customs shop fire?

So, I have been out of touch for a few weeks dealing with my wife's brother who was in a bad car wreck (he is ok but will be in therapy for a long time learning to walk and use his hands again). I just found out about this last night and wondering if anyone has any updates. I must have talked him just the night before the fire and curious about updates other than on his Facebook page.

Re: Skymangs...Old Sarge Customs shop fire?

Shawn...Sorry to hear about your brother in law.

There is an update here...
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chrisklapp

Also, I've been looking on the caring bridge to see if Chris's family needs any help financially. Only reference's I've seen are to donate to the website.

If someone knows how and where we can chip in, please let us know.

I have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help Chris (AKA SKYMANGS, Ole Sarge) and his family with medical expenses. Please share this with as many people as possible. Chris was the first to help with any questions, lets see if we can help him out here: Chris Klapp, AKA: SKYMANGS, Ole Sarge

it is the link to this thread.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=676217

he just didnt URL tag it and the forum software shortens the text link with three periods ... some links are a hundred characters long, so the embed code shortens the text you read and the URL tag hides the full link.

Sorry guys and thanks joedoh, I will try to fix the link.

While I have never met Chris I appreciate folks helping him out. He freely shares the "how to" on these builds and helps many here.
