Looking for suggestions for sealing new polished wheels so they stay nice. Wondering what somebody has used that works good

I was planning to use Sharkskin on my aluminum tank... Not sure what your wheels are coated in though.

I havepurchased the ZOOPs coating kit, but it is still in my cabinet and I have yet to use it.

I presently polish my wheels with the mothers aluminum polish and follow that up with the Mothers billet pollish, to get a mirror finish. I then use a metal protectant from a company called "Wizards". The metal treatment is called "Power Seal" and it works really well, in my mind. I have a set of polished billet wheels on my show truck and I also have a set of billet wheels on my 91 daily driver and they stood up well to the weather with this stuff. http://www.wizardsproducts.com/store...8-oz-p-15.html

I only use Master Formulas polish http://www.masterformulapolish.com/ and protective honestly this stuff rocks. I can tell you how to re-finish them but its alot to do and your better off just taking the tires off and having a shop to them...from that point use Master Formula to maintain, just make sure the polish you do use has jewlers rouge in it. hope this helps some, let me know if you have any questions.

This is the same stuff I use...Works great and I can polish out a set of wheels in about an hour..

I am looking for something to use on my 72 grill surround. I had to strip the anodizing off in order to polish it. Now it is bare aluminum. THe truck also has a set of 94 Impala SS 17" wheels with clear coat still intact. Any suggestions?

I used Sharkhide on polished alum wheels I had on my 97 Yukon. Definitely sealed them well. Held up to the nasty crap they spray on our winter roads in Montana. Only downside was it knocked down the shine. Still looked good enough for my daily driver but I chose not to use it on my 71 show truck. I used a product called Chrome Guard on them last summer. Did my full polish on them first. Then sprayed with Chome Guard, let dry, then a quick polish up with microfiber. www.pitstopinternational.com
