Re: Double D

Then I decided to pop out the dent in the cab corner and throw on a new lower to get rid of the rusty stuff. This was by far the worst fitting cab corner I've installed yet. I guess the stamping was off or something, it took a lot of hacking to get it close to right.

Re: Double D

Then I threw on a couple coats of mud. I still have to knock the laast one down and it should be ready for some 2k. I'm not trying for perfection, I just don't want to run around with a big old rust hole if I don't have to.

Re: Double D

Got a little update. Did som priming and blocking. Keep trying to tell myself it doesn't have to be perfect but I'm a perfectionist. One block is all I'm doing though so it'll still be a little wavy. Resealed the drip rails and rear cab seam. I also put in the CPP 5" rear springs, thanks Chuck!

My best bud got married this past weekend so here's to him and his new wifey!

Re: Double D

Your truck is coming along good. Where did you get those square clamp things to hold your cab corner for welding?

Re: Double D

Picked them up at Harbor Freight. Like 4.99 for 8 of them. They're a life saver too

Re: Double D

Hey Mike have you ever used the more expensive panel clips? I just wonder what the big difference in price is? If the more expensive ones are worth the extra $$.

I have some more that were twice the price, I can't tell the difference between the two.

Re: Double D

I'm slacking, but as soon as I get my buddies truck out of my shop(almost finished with the bag job) this one gets rolled back in. Hopefully she'll be on the road by the end of Feb.
