You sure? May have to shorten it a few inches but pretty sure I will be fine.
 Next up, the front passenger side cab corner needs replacement, weld in new pop up gas cap, weld close the stake holders in the bed, replace the passenger side cowl, sand to bare metal, filler work and then into primer. Colors: Not sure which to pick Audi Nimbus grey / Satin black fenders/running boards Nissin 350z brickyard red / Satin black fenders/running boards Dark blue / Midnight blue fenders/ running boards Not sure also if I want the whole truck to be satin finish or have some shine. |

Looks like the cab is mounted plenty low on the frame. Are you going to lower the box at all or will you leave it that high?

hey blue. The cab is mounted VERY low on the frame. The bottom of the fenders have about 4 inches of ground clearence. Plan to run it like this. The bed is going to stay in that position. In one of my previous pics from 10/2 you will see a side profile. In that pic there is a cardboard cut out which will be replaced by a sheet of steel. We decided on doing this to give the visual of making the the truck not look so Top heavy and levels out the hood and the bed giving a straight line across. I am also not running any bumpers and will be making a rear roll pan to give the appearence of a lower bed. Wanted to get as low to the ground without bags and disturbing the original bed design.

Nice looking truck i also have a 54 but mine is on a 81 surburban frame shortened. I bought new frt. And rear bumpers chrome but i'm going to go the roll pan frt. And back so i have new chrome bumpers if your interested i also have a new set of autometer quad set of electric gauges w/artic white faces they fit right in the opening of the original spot. motor: chevy 327 with a **** ton of motor work. about 500+hp  New parts: new gauges, new grill to chop up, edlebrock tall valve cover, orig 54 hub caps.:

going to remove the bull nose from my other grill so it will be three straight bars across. Need the bars to have the original lines. Going to chrome the grill. So I have to cut a couple pieces off this one and put them together. Also plan to make a front bumper out of a section from the grill too.
