I won't need tubs for my tires - I don't intend to run real wide tires
lay 2 cross sills on the frame and you'll know exactly how much reinforcing to add
everything is made from 10 ga steel, i boxed both sides of the added material with 10 gauge flat plate

if you don't think you need tubs for 255 wide tires, think again
i tubbed to the springs, approx 3''

Here is the truck. I will get some better pictures after I get it back from the shop, it is in for safety. Those are Coker Classic Radials with 3 1/8" white walls, 235/75R15 on Crager Delux 69 7x15 rims.

255's on the front might be a bit big,not look to good, imo.

May I ask what backspacing is on those 8" wheel vintiques with the 255's on them?

(Howdy by the way, first time poster!)

They are series 12 by wheel vin tiques.
4" back spacing.
Tires are brand new onback and for sale if your interested.
Going to a different sizing.

Thanks for the info.. i'm just having some fitment issues with 15x8" Cragar Delux's with the 3.75" and 255/50R15 rubber. Mild rubbing on the fender edge. 4" backspacing would have been perfect I might need to drop to 235 width.

Re: Need Pictures to Determine Tire Size

Mine rubbed slightly also. Used a bat. Never rubbed again and came out great. Something like this...but I did not use the heat gun...

Re: Need Pictures to Determine Tire Size

255/70-15 on the rear smaller on the front with 15"wheels
I tried a 275 on the rear of one of the trucks I had, but it rubbed the bed side and blistered the paint
No C notch an any of the trucks but I do have 2" blocks and they do not bottom out

Re: Need Pictures to Determine Tire Size

I know they are not 15's... mine are 17"s but they are 275/45/17 all around and fit nicely. My truck is a 49.
