It wasn't in the 50s, but I remember when Checker sold an oil change kit that was a box with a plastic liner filled with green absorbent material. You drained your oil into the box and then just put it in the garbage.

Dad's right arm was the 'active restraint system' when he hit the brakes with a kid in the front seat.

At last, I understand why Grandpa always drove a Pontiac...

It was old Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles like that we were driving in HS. What ever happened to that good old truth in advertising anyway?
