Epoxy coated my new garage

Got a new house and decided to paint the floors in the garage before I filled it with tools.
This is the floor after power washing it.

Used a degreaser and pump sprayer to scrub it down before pressure washing it a second time.

My brother and his gf hard at work

Then acid etched the floors

Drying for 24 hours

Painted! Kinda a bad picture but turned out pretty nice. I used a Rustoleum tintable epoxy but it came out way more pink then the box made it look.

We didn't have a lot of time to do it since it requires 72 hours before you can move heavy equipment on it and my brother had to be out of his house. I wanted to caulk all the joints and fill the chips in the floor but this will have to do. Maybe after I build a detached garage I can redo this floor.

Need to paint the walls, add lights, and install a few 220 outlets for my welding equipment and compressor.

Thanks for the review, I've been thinking of using that stuff in my carport.

This one isn't for anything that will see sunlight. Make sure you get one that will withstand the UV rays.

This is my floor I did last summer. It's a Rustoleum Polyurea.

It's holding up extremely well. No signs of delamination or color change. Polyurea coatings are very hard and durable.

The process is grind, fill cracks, grind again, vacuum, sweep, vacuum again and then damp mop to get floor perfectly clean. Then a coat of black primer and then lay down the polyurea by spreading, swirling and letting cure for 12 hours before walking on it. Here are some pictures during the process.

Re: Epoxy coated my new garage

Oh wow, that looks great! I'd like to get that done to my garage floor, but I have several large cracks, a hole, and an uplift to fix first.

Still, I'd love to do that and maybe put in some colored chips for traction/looks.
