Wipers won't shut off sometimes

Have a 00' K3500 dually and sometimes the wipers won't shut off. When they finally do, they stop mid stream instead of parking in the right position. When they are acting up the washer spray won't work but when wipers work so does the washer. Any ideas? Would it be the column switch?

Thanks
Richard

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

More than likely the circuit board on the motor. That's what it was when mine did the same thing.

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

Thanks for the reply Kim, do I need to change the whole motor or can I get just the circuit board?

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

Just noticed your is a 2000 so not sure if it's the same as what's in the earlier years.
If it is you can just get the circuit board. I had trouble finding one at the auto parts store for my particular one so got it at a pic-a-part for $10.00. Chevy dealer wanted over a $100.00 for it.

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

I did the same thing last month. Salvage yard..... $10. It took 15 minutes to change out. I bought a second delay board as a spare, since it was so cheap.

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

Your wiper problems was the same on mine. The board did the fix..... like brand new. I also feared the switch lever. Just plug in the used one. Easy....

Re: Wipers won't shut off sometimes

Richard, Not sure if this applies to your truck but it might be something to check out before you spend any money. Good Luck, Mark
